Brody was actually the lead face in world class for a while between his stints to Japan and Puerto Rico. I grew up in Dallas and every saturday night we’d be at the sportatorium watching the Von Erichs, The Freebirds, One Man Gang, Chris Adams and above all…KING KONG BRODY.

They both got their style of talking from Thunderbolt Patterson (Superstar Graham did too).

Brody and Mulligan fought a number of times. I know they had a feud in Atlanta around early 81 and I think they worked somewhere else too (Florida? Texas?). If you watch the Brody in Atlanta Youtube clip, and see Brody saying he came there for somethign personal, it was to beat up Mulligan. They had a strong feud (but I think it was brief). Mulligan was the face and Brody was the heel.

I love old school wrestling and Bruiser Brody. Did not see much of Blackjack growing up because of where I lived but saw alot of Brody. When ever I see footage of Blackjack I have to laugh because I challenge anyone to show me someone who threw softer right hands. Don’t get me wrong, the guy is a legend and a big part of the history of the sport. (and no I would not want to feel the full effect of his big fist upside my head)

What a pop for Brody when he came out. Gotta love footage like this, two true legends.
